Can You Install Kitchen Cabinets Over Laminate Flooring

To answer your question yes you can install cabinets directly over a laminate floor.
I have kronotex flooring and i love it mine looks like carrara marble we have it in our bedroom and walk in closet with cabinets sitting on it no problem in 7 yearsjust make sure you allow the spacing along the perimeter of the room and under your island would for sure never be a problem i always install laminate under the cabinets in contemporary kitchens and have never had a problem it give a clean finish and no need for trim around perimeter of cabinets. Let it be his call. Go ahead and install your kitchen cabinets directly on the cement subfloor. I would suggest having a vapor barrier beneath the cabinets if you are installing over mud or cement.
I just recently did a remodel to my kitchen and used armstrong pacific heights wood laminate the kind that locks together. It would be better to lay the flooring after the cabinet install for a variety of reasons floor damage during construction expansion issues being able to solidly shim the cabinets to the floor and etc. I can t 100 guarantee there will be no issues but it is common to have the kitchen cabinets sitting right on top of the sub floor whether that be cement or plywood. Installing laminate under a cabinet where leaks might occur such as an under sink cabinet could lead to damaged flooring that is difficult to reach and replace.
The top layer is glued down very well and i m wondering if i could install engineered hardwood over it even though the surface will not be level. Installing laminate flooring in your kitchen is actually something you can handle yourself. Anyone who has the time and the patience can always follow the instructions on the package and get it done. I even had aristokraft install the 7 foot island right over it.
