To prepare your space use masking tape to protect hinges or glass and put down dust sheets to cover the floor. Like with primer let your first coat of paint dry completely before moving on. In thin layers lightly sanding and wiping off dust between coats. Using a premium benjamin moore nylon polyester brush apply the first coat of advance paint.
Then take off all the knobs and handles. Painting cabinet doors and similar large areas may go faster if you use a foam or microfiber paint roller instead of a brush. If these parts have raised or routed features be sure to flow the paint into crevices and corners but don t allow it to accumulate in these spots image 2. Next paint the cabinet doors and drawer fronts along with any separate wood pieces or moldings image 1.
Allow a minimum of four hours drying time for primer and 24 hours for all other coats. Always apply paint in thin light coats but be sure to cover all areas.
