Unfortunately many amateurs choose less durable paints for their cabinets.
At minimum let the cabinets dry in a well ventilated area for at least 24 hours however two or three days is even better. Oilpaints can take anywhere from a week to months to drydepending on the thickness of the paint. As a professional framer i suggest you waituntil the oilis completely drybefore framing due to the fact the paintwill dryand adhere to the side of the frame and if you reframe in the future it could ruin your painting. The great thing about using the proclassic paint is that it doesn t need a coat of polyurethane after paint like a lot of paint would require. My home depot paint buddy says they advise a week not a month they told me to paint with a flat or satin finish wait 30 days then wash with a tsp solution which will help the poly to stick then 2 3 coats of poly. Note that the polycrylic folks say to wait 30 days after painting to apply so the paint can cure or something. The spruce david schiff when the paint dries usually in about four hours apply a second coat.
