How To Secure Kitchen Wall Cabinets

Secure the top and bottom of the cabinet to the wall with 3 inch long 10 cabinet screws.
Once drilled pop some wall plugs into the holes and screw the bracket into place. They go a long way in supporting the weight of the cabinets during installation. I normally use 4 screws per cabinet and i attach multiple cabinets together before hanging the group. Wall hung kitchen cabinets are a useful feature to any kitchen they are excellent for storage and look great too.
Once the bracket is on you can fix the cabinet to the wall. The first thing to do when you install kitchen cabinets is establish the floor level with a long spirit level. Use a level to ensure a straight and level line for hanging wall cabinets. Cut the piece along the line at a 7 to 10 degree bevel to help fit it against the wall.
Measure the gap at the top and the bottom and cut your filler strip to fit. For uneven walls clamp the filler strip to the outside of the cabinet face. When attaching the wall cabinets to the kitchen wall you will need a helper or some jacks to hold the cabinets in place while you set the cabinet hanging screws. Fasten the back of the cabinets to that line.

When drilling the wall use safety glasses and gloves and ensure that you re using the appropriate drill bit and setting for the wall surface. Remove the ledger board once the cabinet is securely fastened. The plinth height will govern the height of your base cabinets. Set the first wall cabinet on the ledger strip and 1 4 inch away from its reference line on the wall.
Line up the base cabinets with the level line on the wall. Once the backs of the cabinets are level use shims to level the sides. Position the support board to the wall and secure it into the studs that you marked earlier. Take your time on this step nobody likes to have eggs roll off a slanted countertop.
Secure the ledger board. Drill the holes in the upper and lower hanging rails of the cabinets the two horizontal pieces of lumber along the top and bottom of the back of the cabinet. Your cabinets will likely have plinths underneath often called kick boards sometimes these clip straight to the legs on the bottom of the cabinets. Evenly space the screws between the top and bottom of the cabinet.
