Kitchen Cabinet Door Pull Placement

When it comes to installing cabinet door handles either knobs or pulls they are always placed on the opposite side from the door hinges.
Center the hardware horizontally on the stile between 2 and 4 inches down from the top edge. The main difference is you ll place them near the top of the door on the stile so you can reach them without bending over too far. On drawers and pull out cabinets knobs are typically centered on the drawer front. On upper cabinets the bottom screw hole should be placed 2 5 3 above the bottom of the door.
Cabinet pulls have two screws as opposed to only one screw with a knob. Figure 3 pull mounted on base cabinet door for base cabinets figures 2 and 3 the common position is 2 1 2 to 4 down from the top corner on the opposite side to the hinges. On lower cabinets the top screw hole should be placed 2 5 3 below the top of the door. The classic knob placement centers the knob on the stile and lines the knob stile height with the inside edge of the rail.
The bottom of the pull on upper cabinets and top of the pull on lower cabinets is centered on the corner. On wall cabinets knobs are usually placed 2 1 2 to 3 from the bottom corner of the door. On base cabinets they are placed 2 1 2 to 3 from the upper corner of the door. The same goes with pulls on cabinet doors.

Or in other words the knob is placed about 2 1 2 from the bottom of upper cabinet doors or 2 1 2 from the top of a bottom cabinet door. Lower cabinet pull or knob placement is similar to upper cabinet s. This is the most common way to place hardware on shaker cabinet doors. With horizontal hardware placement on your wall cabinet doors the kitchen looks modern and aesthetic.
