This kitchen features crisp white outer cabinets that contrast with a warm wood white washed island. The kitchen island carcass was then built around this plain white column which also adds a little bit of support. Another way to hide your columns is to match it with the kitchen or wall style so that it would look like it s part of the design and not a structural element. Here s what my dining room looked like before i started my reno.
I decided to use both of the bottom cabinets to make my kitchen island. Small hints of teal supplied by the roman shade over the window and colored glassware peeking through glass front cabinets bring refreshing color to the neutral space.
