The cabinet width can be anywhere from 12 60 but always should be made in 3 increments. The backs are 1 4 6mm plywood. Add another sheet of 3 4 for the top or use solid wood. Mine set on top of a heating vent so i cut a hole in the front of the toe kick and installed a register.
