Painting Kitchen Cabinets With Chalk Paint

But hey did i mention this. So today is the day i thought i d tell you how my chalk painted cabinets have held up over the years. Nonetheless applying chalk paint can be a little time consuming as you might have to apply at least one coat wax or varnish over the chalk paint cabinet layer. Clean off your cabinets with a mild cleaner soap and water and let dry.
So far so good. Because of the thickness of chalk paint it can build up quickly and diminish the dimensionality of decorative routered edges. And the answer is pretty darn well. I did polycrylic the kitchen table and it s not as hard a top coat as i would have preferred and there.
Chalk paint is thick which means you don t have to sand or prime which saved me days of prep work. Chalk paint can t be brushed on as evenly as latex paint can be sprayed on. I m painting the rest an espresso color. I love chalk paint.

Paint the cupboards in your chosen chalk paint. When prepping to paint your kitchen cabinets with chalk paint the process is really quite simple. Find out the fastest way to update your kitchen cabinets by simply using chalk paint and wax. I painted my island ebony to match my table. Painting the cabinets using chalk paints is not a big deal. I would recommend sanding and or a coat or two of primer if you paint over cured wax.

My cabinets were fairly clean already so all i had to do was wipe them down with a clorox wipe. First remove the doors and any hardware. Use this group to share ideas ph. This is what really sold me.
These areas required a few extra coats of paint though primer may be more efficient at doing this.
