Using Liquid Sandpaper On Kitchen Cabinets

Start with small sections one at a time like starting with a door and then moving to the next door and so on.
Cabinet shops rarely use anything but 100 grit sandpaper. Sandpaper takes a lot of effort and time to do the job while a single wipe or a few wipes of liquid sander can do the work in half the time and effort. After thoroughly cleaning your item apply the liquid sandpaper deglosser to an old rag or sponge wipe down the entire item and let it dry. Don t leave it on the surface any longer than specified.
It s aggressive enough to get the job done but not so aggressive that it leaves scratches that can t be removed. Remember to carry out the process in a circular motion for a better finish. So if you are on a small project that needs to be completed relatively fast its good to use liquid sandpaper rather than your regular piece of sandpaper. You will need to apply liquid sandpaper on the exterior and interior of the cabinet.
Rub efficiently on the cabinets doors and hardware. To facilitate easy application just swipe liquid sandpaper across the cabinet surface using the cloth or you can even use a paintbrush. After the application you need to give it about 15 20 minutes to dry completely. Once you have applied the liquid sandpaper use a clean dry lint free cloth to rub it into the surface.

The main reason to use liquid sandpaper is to prepare a surface for painting with less time and effort that will be needed when using regular sandpaper. The water based biodegradable formula works on paint varnish enamel and stain and is great when you are redoing kitchen cabinets wood moldings. One of the benefits of using liquid sandpaper deglosser is that it takes considerably less time to prep the item for painting staining etc. Electric sanders indeed take less time for sanding but they also involve corning and gumming up of sandpapers.
No such type of problems is faced when using liquid sander deglosser. Once the instructions have been read you can start to apply the liquid sandpaper to the surface of your project. All you have to do is apply it wait 15 minutes and wipe off any residue once it dry. Step 3 rub it in.
Any varnish or glossy finish will have magically peeled away and you ll be left with wood that s ready for paint or primer. This helps remove scratches or rough spots. Fold it four ways bend it around your fingers and sand with short back and forth motions. Sand the cabinets by hand to prevent gouges and to better reach the nooks in the doors.
